Teens and Suicide – To Be Or Not to Be
The 5th of May, 2009. 8:20 AM. Caltrain was rushing through the Peninsula. Suddenly, it came to a screeching stop. The train had trampled over a human body, taking away a life. A 17 year-old student from Gunn High School in Palo Alto had committed suicide.
The tragedy of May 5th was repeated on June 3rd, August 28th and October 19th when three more teenagers from the same Gunn High School, Palo Alto met the death on the same train tracks. Each one of them had asked the question ‘To be or not to be’ and decided ‘Not to be’ in this world. These incidents stirred my haunting memories from 1984.

Youth Anger Management
Developments of anger and outbursts of frustration are not uncommon among teens and younger adults. The expression of anger is not abnormal by any means, but over time, outbursts of anger and resentment can lead to horrific habits when it comes to the way a child or young person expresses that anger.
Expressions of anger are not abnormal among children, it is at this early age that the life long anger patterns can develop if a program to deal with the anger is not implemented. It is important to teach children how to process and express negative emotions such as anger in decent and appropriate ways. Conditioning children from an early age to control their anger is important in the development of the child’s mind.

Quick Weight Loss For Teens
Teenagers are not spared from the problems of obesity. In fact, the number of teens suffering from this condition is increasing every year. But then again, teens have this mindset which tells them that anything bigger than size 6 is fat. Blame it all on false advertising and the intense popularity of skinny models. This is the reason why quick weight loss for teens is devised. It would help them greatly to easily reach their ideal weight.
Teens find it easier to lose weight than adults do because of just one thing – motivation. For some reason, teens are more challenged to reduce their body weight because they want to be popular in school, be accepted by their peers, or get noticed by the boy she likes. While these are shallow motivations, they have contributed greatly in a teen’s quest to losing weight.
